“Dr. Aneja brings a wealth of
highly relevant experiences, strategic
insights, practical ideas and management skills that are essential as
we continue to demonstrate Joslin’s
leadership on a global level. Her rich
blend of clinical and business competencies will enable us to expand our
capabilities as we fulfill our mission
in all aspects of diabetes and diabetes prevention,” said John L. Brooks,
president and CEO of Joslin.
Aneja’s responsibilities include
working across all areas of Joslin to
address numerous local, national, and
global initiatives. She will be actively
involved with Joslin’s partners and
collaborators to create and deliver
cost-effective and impactful diabetes
solutions.
Aneja confesses to occasional
longing for the hands-on part of a
family doctor. “I do miss medicine.”
But then she smiles and says she
misses it only a little because she is
able to reach so many more people
this way.
“I still feel really attached to
family medicine because I’m providing healthy behavior, risk reduction,
and disease education.” For many
people wellness is a mystery, Aneja
says. They don’t know that they hold
the power to help themselves and live
healthier.
Giving them that power is
Aneja’s passion. That’s what she sees
as her role as a physician. It’s what
she learned from Mother Teresa.
